The Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator will assist with the control and management of inventory accuracy, flexibility, and integrity to ensure manufacturing has materials required to complete orders.

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that the company has the necessary inventory to meet demands while maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing excess inventory costs. The Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator will also be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and supplies.

Responsibilities and Duties

● Maintain inventory count accuracy (digital and physical counting), ensuring that the company has the appropriate amount of inventory to meet customer demands while minimizing excess inventory costs.

● Create and maintain purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information, and timely processing

● Communicate with management about any inventory issues, and presents recommendations to solve the issue

● Work with Production and Shipping Managers to oversee the accuracy of shipments going in and out of the building

● Oversee and manage the inventory storage space in the warehouse to ensure there’s enough room to store new product shipments

● Audits the facility’s entire inventory on a regular basis and provides reports to management

● Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure accurate inventory accounting and reporting

● Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items

● Research consumer complaints, finds backup sources for high-demand items, downtimes, etc.

● Analyze purchasing trends and make recommendations for process improvements and cost savings

● Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures to ensure that all purchases are made in compliance with company guidelines and regulations

● Evaluate the selection and shipping process and work to improve efficiency

● Work closely with the operations team to identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes and procedures

● Develops loss mitigation processes and protocols

● Lift up to 80lbs, transport / stock purchases, raw, and finished materials in house

Desired Qualifications

● At least 3 years of experience in Purchasing & Inventory, preferably in a manufacturing setting

● Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers

● Purchasing & Inventory management system experience

● Detail-oriented to maintain inventory records

● Ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner

● Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
