St. Louis Composting, Inc., the region's largest producer of STA-Certified Compost, Mulch Products and Soil Blends is seeking a Full Time Lube Technician to execute basic Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks on Road Tractors, Dump Trucks and off-road equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine oil/fluid changes & Preventative Maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Grease/Lubricate trucks, trailers & heavy equipment
• Ability to review & understand the PM intervals & schedules.
• Determine necessary parts, materials & tooling required for assigned tasks.
• Perform minor repairs under the direction of lead mechanic on duty.
• Communicate progress of repair with direct supervisor as required.
• Maintain & complete all necessary completion logs legibly & in a timely fashion, complete daily service documentation, & work order closure.
• Maintain proper care and use of special tools including major shop equipment, such as but not limited to, air compressor, cleaning tanks, jacks & hand tools.
• Complete all services accurately, safely & in a timely manner to meet productivity goals.
• Continuously research & learn as required to improve knowledge as machine models change.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 years' experience
• Valid driver's license and be insurable to drive
• Able to furnish own tools to perform work

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
• Frequently standing, walking, use hands & fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands & arms
• Occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• This work requires good dexterity to use tools & requires standing and bending to work on vehicles and equipment.
