DEISEL TECHNICIAN
St Louis Composting, producer of STA-Certified Compost, Mulch Products and Soil Blends, is accepting applications for future consideration for a Diesel Mechanic.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs maintenance on semi tractors, trailers and completes DOT inspections.
- Follows preventative maintenance procedures as established by company standards.
- Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines, interpreting the results for resolution.
- Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, clutches, engines and other associated parts.
- Orders parts, communicates status and annotates corrective actions
- Comfortable working in a sometimes fast paced environment while maintaining flexibility.
- Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
- Must present a neat and professional appearance.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Possesses a valid US driver's license and has their own tools. (specialty tools provided)
- Qualified to perform DOT inspections, and follow company preventative maintenance procedures.
- At least 2 years of experience with emissions, aftertreatment systems, electrical, air conditioning, powertrain and suspension systems.
- Experience with PTO hydraulic systems
- Experience with Paccar, Cummins, Caterpillar and Mack power plants
- Welding and metal fabricating experience
- Certified on Brakes and air conditioning systems
- Able to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time, etc.
- Other duties as directed.
