Stinker Stores is Hiring a Store Manager Idaho Near Meridian, ID

The Stinker Store Manager position is responsible for all facets of the day-to-day operation within a single or multi-store retail facility. The Store Manager will work 45 hours a week, at least 9 hours a day on a 5-day work week. PTO – Paid Time Off can be used 8 hours or less per day, regardless of 9-hour workday. This position is responsible for maximizing performance and profitability at the Store(s) assigned through management of inventory, merchandising, human resources, asset protection and the proper company image. Provide effective, enthusiastic leadership in the management of store employees and in implementing the company’s policies, procedures, and desire to provide outstanding customer satisfaction.


Essential Job Functions


Customer Satisfaction

  • Resolves all customer concerns, complaints, or requests in a timely manner.
  • Provides ongoing customer service training of store personnel.


Store Management

  • Review and monitor inventory and oversee ordering process to ensure sufficient stock is on-hand to satisfy seasonal trends and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Proof of Concept for Vendors relationships.
  • Review and monitor vendor deliveries, warehouse orders and gas deliveries.
  • Survey the market for competitive fuel pricing and product selection.
  • Manage fuel pricing strategies and ensure fuel prices are at levels that maintain competitiveness and maximize margin.
  • Conduct site inspections for compliance with Brand Excellence, safety standards and general maintenance.


Merchandising and Promotion

  • Ensures all Operational processes and procedures are completed to ensure Stores are clean, well-stocked and provide a friendly, inviting atmosphere.
  • Executes all aspects of the product promotion ensuring pricing policies are adhered as well as vendor supplied signage and required displays.
  • Train and support store personnel to execute promotional campaigns and in-store selling techniques effectively and strategically.
  • Conducts timely inspections to ensure that Stores adhere to standard product schematics and promotional schematics.
  • Review product sales volumes and market trends to provide recommendation to changes in product offerings.
  • Works with RTM and independently, in building community relations to maintain brand reputation and involvement within local neighborhoods.


Personnel

  • Interview and hire store employees maintaining strict adherence of all state and federal laws.
  • Accountable for the training of new employees according to the guidelines set forth by the Company.
  • Communicates and enforces compliance of Company policy and procedure.
  • Fosters and develops employee growth by providing leadership and guidance always.


Management

  • Review or prepare labor schedule and timesheets for accuracy, completeness, and operational efficiency.
  • Banking as required.
  • Discipline and discharge employees as required.
  • Conduct store team meetings ensuring communication of relevant and appropriate store policies and procedures, reviews shared values, and identify coaching opportunities to maintain company vision and culture.
  • Participate in pocket meetings and provide support to RTM with appropriate content and delivery of content as directed.
  • Perform Store inventory counts (as needed) ensuring accuracy of store inventory on hand.
  • Review daily reports and banks deposits to ensure completeness and accuracy. Make corrections and provide training as needed.
  • Perform trend analysis of the financial statements and make strategic recommendations to correct possible performance issues.
  • Communication in a timely manner, by either email or phone.


Loss Prevention and Safety

  • Ensures employees are adhering to safety policies and practices regarding store conditions, fuel emergency shut-off procedures, and food safety if applicable.
  • Protect the Company’s assets, inventory, and cash from loss due to theft.


Requirements/Competency

  • Experience: Minimum HS Diploma or GED with two years of prior retail store management experience
  • Leadership: Minimum 5 years of experience within a leadership role (shift lead, asst. Manager, manager.)
  • Management/Development: Proven history of asset, operational and personnel management and team development.
  • Talent Acquisition: Proven history of effectively building a team through recruitment, screening, interviewing and selection.
  • Strategy/Vision/Culture: Must be able to demonstrate experience in participating in the development of business strategies, cultures, and executing company vision.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be in physically good shape and able to stand, reach and lift during part or entire work shift.
  • Must be able to balance on step stool or step ladder.
  • Must be able to work from eye level to floor level.
  • Must be able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 32 degrees.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
