The Shift Lead position is responsible for all facets of the customer sales specialist position. In addition, the Shift Lead is responsible for providing effective, enthusiastic leadership in assisting with the management of store employees and in implementing the company’s policies, procedures, and desire to provide outstanding customer satisfaction. 

Essential Job Functions 

In addition to duties as defined in the Customer Sales Specialist job description, the following are responsibilities associated in assisting the Assistant Store Manager or while in the absence of the Assistant Store Manager.

Customer Satisfaction

Assists in resolving customer concerns, complaints, or requests in a timely manner. Escalating to store manager as needed.

Store Management

• Check in vendors, warehouse orders and gas deliveries.
• Change fuel prices as required to maintain competitiveness and margin.
• Reconcile daily bookwork, finalize invoices, balance smart safe, and measure fuel gallons.
• Create, edit, and submit order requests for supplies.

 Merchandising and Promotion

Personnel

• Assist in training new employees according to the guidelines set forth by the Company.
• Communicates and enforces compliance of Company policy and procedure.
• Serve as escalation point for questions, escalation, and training while on shift.
• Sets up tasks for the day and follows up on progress.
