Overview
Stimulus is seeking a Director of Product to lead a multi-disciplinary development team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for gaps in B2B product offerings and an innovative mindset for filling them. This person should be a highly skilled market analyst with a proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of a product, from conception to release. We’re looking for a confident leader who can guide cross-functional teams in the creation of products that improve customer experience and grow market share.
You will work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. We’d like to meet you.
Notes:
  • This is a US - Remote position with occasional travel to HQ required. At this time, Stimulus doesn't offer visa sponsorship.
  • The salary details indicated (min. $150K - max. $170K) may increase or decrease based on experience.
Objectives of this role
  • Drive the product- and business-planning processes for cross-functional teams
  • Analyze customer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI and build-vs.-buy perspective
  • Assess current competitor offerings and seek opportunities for differentiation
  • Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they’re met
  • Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments
  • Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate go-to-market plans
Position Responsibilities 
  • Develop and implement product strategy and roadmap, aligning with company objectives and customer needs.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user feedback to identify product opportunities and prioritize product development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including our Data Analyst, Sr. Software Engineer, and other engineering contributors, to ensure product success.
  • Define and track key product metrics, including user engagement, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and ensure timely delivery of product releases.
  • Manage the product backlog and prioritizing work for the engineering team.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and contribute to the growth of the company by working closely with the team and providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Confidently represent the company and product through participating in demonstrations, industry events, and sales & marketing activities.
  • Champion best practices in product development.
  • Facilitate discussions and propose solutions regarding product development.
  • Develop and maintain well-documented product information, both external and internal.
  • Communicate effectively with the CEO, developers, data team, designers and sales to deliver a user-centric product.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and customer success.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform product decisions.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and product management tools (i.e. Jira, Confluence, Figma, etc.
  • Confident, innovative, creative, and self-motivated individual with a strong desire to collaborate with a small but mighty team and contribute to its growth over time.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in product design and/or engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering successful products in the B2B SaaS space.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of supply chain, procurement and purchasing
