Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians is Hiring a General Manager Near Arlington, WA

**Position Title:** General Manager **Position Summary:** The General Manager will provide leadership to manage the 210 Cannabis Company retail store. Under the direction of the Corporate Board of Directors, this position will develop strategic, operational and financial plans, and report business performance. The General Manager will be tasked with making the store operational for launch, implementing best in class product offerings and service strategies, as well as overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations for the business. **Department:** 210 Cannabis Company

**FLSA Status:** Exempt

**Salary:** $84,000 - $101,000 DOE

**Reports to:** Executive Director

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

**Planning Administration:**

* Develop annual and long range plans

* Provide performance reports against short and long range plans

* Provide research and analytic support for generating strategies to meet current and future business plans and goals.

**HR Management** :

* Recruit and contract company and project staff

* Manage employee development, oversight and training

* Administer policy development, enforcement and improvement

* Supervise employee relations, including hiring and firing

* Oversee compliance to employment regulatory requirements

* Ensure workplace safety

**Marketing and PR:**

* Develop and implement strategic marketing strategies

* Manage digital advertising opportunities

* Ensure website and live menus are current and comply with brand standards

* Oversee content, production and distribution of marketing and publicity materials

* Manage promotional programs, customer engagement strategies and store events

* Attract, retain, and develop best-in-class cannabis products and subject matter expertise

**Financial management****:**

* Manage P&L, including expense budgets, revenue streams and tax allocations

* Develop, analyze and maximize performance on key business metrics

* Oversee financial records and cash handling processes and procedures

* Participate in the preparation of annual budgets, regular variance statements and annual audits

* Provide assessments regarding overall financial health of the company

* Develop long range fiscal plans to ensure the continuity and solvency of the company

**Quality Control:**

* Ensure operational compliance with WA State and Tribal Marijuana Compact regulations, corporate charters, banking agreements and quality control standards.

* Coordinate activities between regulators, inspectors and law enforcement personnel

* Ensure accurate documentation of quality control/regulatory data and records

* Oversee development, compliance and quality improvement for all Standard Operational Procedures

* Ensure compliance to loss prevention and security policies and procedures

* Maintain high product quality, customer service, housekeeping and operational safety standards

**Administrative management:**

* Provide written and oral monthly performance reports to the Corporate Board of Directors

* Represent the Company in transactions, negotiations, and public and private forums, as directed by the Board of Directors

* Manage accounting and point of sale processes

* Ensure Company and vendor communication integrity

* Develop processes that increase company efficiency and profitability efficiency, and minimize risk

* Oversee facilities maintenance

**Additional Functions:**

* Remain current on cannabis law and regulatory

* Manage security systems

* Develop vendor and business relationships

* Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Board of Directors

**Supervisory Responsibilities:**

* Oversight of the employment, supervision, training and discharging of all Company employees

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**

* Must have experience managing all functions and personnel within a retail organization

* Proven skills in business and financial management

* Demonstrated ability to work with Tribal member owners

* Demonstrated ability to work proactively diverse and inclusive organization

* Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

* Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff team

* Effective problem solving and mediation skills

* Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others

* Proficiency with office computer equipment and software

* Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced setting

* Efficient leader with proven ability to cope with conflict, stress, and crisis situations

* Ability to operate computer equipment, digital signage and/or customize software

* Knowledge of the principles and techniques of contract administration and negotiation; community organization; principles and practices of marketing and public relations

* Must have excellent communication skills, be able to command authority

* Must possess strong bookkeeping, computer, and mathematical abilities

* Must have experience hiring and firing employees

* Must have decision making and reasoning skills and be able to think outside the box

* Inventory and supply chain management

* Theft prevention experience along with an understanding of security protocols

* Highly motivated, detail oriented and ready to work in a fast-paced AWESOME environment

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

**Position Qualifications:**

* Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field preferred

* A minimum of 5 years of management experience in retail cannabis, or an equivalent combination of education and cannabis industry experience.

* Significant managerial experience in a high-volume retail sales environment, including business process development, Point of Sale/enterprise systems, pricing, vendor management and product selection, personnel management, contract negotiations, etc.

* Human Resources management experience, including hiring, training, records management, performance reviews, payroll and benefits administration.

* Cannabis retail experience preferred, but not required.

* Must be 21 years old

* Must pass all required background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
