Fidelis Consulting Service is hiring a Special Education Educational Assistant (SpEd EA) Permanent Substitute for the Stevens Point School District.
A degree or previous school experience is not required. Contact us and we can help you get started with your WECAN application.
The role and responsibility of the Special Education Educational Assistant Permanent Substitute may include, but not limited to:

• Work in the Stevens Point Area Public School Distrrict only, Monday-Friday unless sick, appointment, etc.
• SpEd EA's work a variety of hours. Therefore, your work hours can vary from 2 hours per day to 8 hours per day
• Fidelis will assign a SpEd EA assignment either 5 days prior to the work assignment date and/or up to the day of sub needs
• Should there not be an available SpEd EA sub request, you will be assigned to a building to assist throughout the day
• Paid $16.00 /hour
• Paid Holidays: Good Friday and Memorial Day
• Non Paid Days: Non-student school days including but not limited to E-Learning days, Parent Teacher Conferences, Emergency School Closing days, Professional Development days and your personal/sick time off work.
• Assist teaching staff in the classroom with academic instruction, behavior management, social needs and support/adaptations for special needs students individually or in small groups in the classroom as determined by Special Education teacher
• Supervise lunchroom and playground to maintain order and safety

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years old
• Criminal History Background Check - both State and Federal
• Excellent communication skills
• WI Department of Public Instruction Special Aide Program License which be obtained after applying with Fidelis. No special requirements are needed for this license and we will help guide you through this quick online application
