OVERVIEW:

The Social Media Associate is a seasoned and trend-savvy individual, serving to support the social media team on day to day activations as well as a community manager to amplify the Betsey Johnson voice across our social channels. This role will engage directly with our digital audience both reactively and proactively, and build upon our community of creator and influencer partnerships. This role is integral to fostering engagement and building lasting brand relationships and plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of Betsey Johnson's online presence across all social media platforms and beyond.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Social Media Manager Assistant

• Assist social team members with daily tasks to meet operational deadlines and execute posts.
• Assist social team with weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting documents.
• Assist social team with scheduling and deployment of content across all social platforms.

• Engagement and Relationship Building

• Respond to 80% of comments on Betsey Johnson's owned Instagram TikTok, and Facebook profiles, ensuring timely (within 48 hours) and thoughtful interactions with our audience and in our brand voice.

• Achieve a 100% response and open rate for Instagram and TikTok DMs in collaboration with the Customer Service Team.

• Regularly view, manage and delete irrelevant or inappropriate content in our DM inbox to ensure organization and prioritization of key requests.

• Monitor DMs for customer inquiries, feedback and opportunities for engagement.

• Manage our presence within relevant digital communities outside of our own profiles to establish and maintain a consistent brand personality.

• UGC Management

• Foster a sense of community by actively engaging with Betsey Johnson's tagged content, initiating conversations and encouraging more UGC.

• Curate UGC from Instagram and TikTok that aligns with Betsey Johnson's brand image for use on social media platforms.

• VIP, Influencer, Content Creator & Stylist Support

• Identify and cultivate relationships with key talent within the fashion and lifestyle space including but not limited to: commenting on posts, following key accounts, responding to stories and coordinating product gifting/pull requests and returns that come through DMs.

• Partner with PR team to process all gifting/dressing requests through managing the sample-send out and return processes.

• Ensuring all social coverage from any key talent placements is responded to, shared with the larger team, slated into social schedule where applicable and saved for future reference.
• Coordinate seasonal gifting programs in partnership with in-house influencer team and PR agency.

• Repost and engage with key brand-tagged influencer and VIP stories to Betsey Johnson Instagram Stories in real time.

• Strategic Insights and Feedback

• Provide weekly feedback on top comments, DMs, UGC and gifting placements. This should include identifying top products each week to inform additional marketing needs.

• Identify any trends or themes among the digital community summarizing into key themes.

• Issue Resolution and Crisis Management

• Identify and address issues, patterns, and trends in consumer comments and inquiries.
• Monitor social media channels for potential crisis situations and proactively address them with relevant team members within 24 hours.

• Trendspotting

• Proactively identify and share emerging digital trends, ensuring Betsey Johnson stays ahead in the social media space.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-3 years of social media experience

• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Pinterest; experience on YouTube a plus

• In-depth knowledge of social media analytics and reporting

• Experience using Dash Hudson or similar platform

• Ability to dedicate 10H per week ongoing platform monitoring

Salary Range:The pay range of this position is $60,000 - $65,000. Actual salary will be determined based off candidate's skill sets, years of experience, and other job-related factors. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, 401K, and additional company benefits
