Job Summary: No Weekends or Holidays!
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. You can be a part of a fantastic, brand new Surgery Center located in Germantown, MD. The center will perform ortho, ortho spine, sports medicine, hand surgery, podiatry, and pain mgmt. Help us build the center to be the best surgery center it can be and the best place to work! You will be working with a great group of surgeons you take pride in their surgery center and team. Scrub experience in ortho is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-operative assessments, including reviewing patient history and ensuring all necessary tests and documentation are completed
- Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient
- Assist the surgeon during procedures by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and medications
- Monitor patients' vital signs, anesthesia administration, and overall condition throughout surgery
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by following strict infection control protocols
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Cerner
- Provide post-operative care, including monitoring patients' recovery, managing pain, and educating patients on post-operative instructions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients transitioning from the operating room to other areas of the hospital

Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact
- Minimum of [2] years of experience working in an Operating Room setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with surgical procedures across various specialties, including but not limited to CT, behavioral health, gastric lavage, etc.
- Strong understanding of acute care principles and practices
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Cerner
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a primary care or hospital setting

- Surgical Scrub experience
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and interpretation of lab results
- Ability to administer medications via inhalation
