Lead PCB Engineer

Job Summary

Primary Responsibilities

• Produce detailed PCB designs for RF amplifiers, digital circuits, and the combination of RF and digital assemblies.

• Interface with customers, vendors, and internal teams to produce appropriate PCB designs.

• Create new component library parts and symbols for PCB designs.

• Perform sustaining engineering in support of current designs in production.

• Load Bills of Material for designs into the database in a timely manner.

• Prepare for and participate in design reviews.

• Implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in conjunction with manufacturing engineering.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in PCB Design, preferably with RF design principles.

• Advanced understanding of CAD design tools, particularly Mentor PADS and its auto-routing utility.

• Ability to design multi-layer PCBs using simulation tools for high speed data.

• Experience with design of multi-layer boards combining high-power RF and digital control.

• Strong knowledge of RF design principles as they relate to mechanical packaging systems.

• Strong knowledge of electronic, electrical, and mechanical design techniques.

• Ability to deliver effective presentations to design teams.

• Fluency in using Word, Excel, Visio, and Adobe software programs. Proficient in producing professional Engineering reports.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Salary Range: $85,000 to $115,000/year (potentially negotiable for exceptional candidates).
