Position Title: HVAC Automation Engineer

Type: Full Time / Direct Placement

Shift: 1st

Location: Hartford, CT

Responsibilities

• Independently engineer new DDC projects

• Compile closeout documents, including as-built drawings, programming, monitoring, installing, testing, commissioning, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing building automation systems (BAS)

• Update and maintain graphical web interfaces for system monitoring and diagnosis

• Apply knowledge of multiple communications protocols, such as BACnet and Modbus

• Read and interpret construction documents

• Troubleshoot HVAC and computer/controller issues

• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

• Work independently and collaboratively in a project team

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in programming field; 5 years preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology is a plus

• Tridium AX certification highly preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Visio, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

• Experience with temperature control systems, including Alerton, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Trane, Schneider, and Siemens

• Knowledge of BACnet, DDC, Niagara AX, ALC, Siemens, or Metasys

• Experience working with AutoCAD and PDF software
