We are a protein processing company with 5 locations in Greeley, CO, distributing a variety of products including Beef, Chicken, and Pork.
Our product range includes Portion Control products, Marinated Meats, Fresh Ground Beef, Fully Cooked and Raw products, and Corned Beef.
We are currently seeking a Food Production Supervisor for our Evening Shift. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising production employees to ensure optimal quality, service, and efficiency.
Your main focus will be on achieving operational excellence, in line with our company policies and procedures. The safety, development, and retention of your team will be your highest priority.
You will also play a key role in logistics, production, and food safety. Employee engagement, teamwork, and coaching will be critical to your success, as you work closely with business partners to ensure a seamless flow of product and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities :
Supervise production operations and personnel, ensuring yields, gross margins, and scheduling targets are met for both raw and finished goods.
Prioritize duties, delegate work assignments, and schedule employees to optimize production and sanitation functions.
Train and provide a supportive environment for employees to maximize quality and productivity performance.
Lead efforts in loss prevention, risk management, USDA compliance, and labor / employee relations.
Promote employee communication and involvement to foster goodwill and engagement.
Collaborate with Human resources in recruitment, selection, training & development, and retention of talent.
Ensure employees meet performance standards and support business objectives.
Evaluate processes and methods, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Maintain a safe production floor, actively involved in safety efforts and training employees on safe operating procedures.
Control departmental supplies, tools, and equipment, completing necessary production paperwork.
Maintain knowledge of products and equipment to ensure product specifications and regulatory compliance.
Reports to : Production Manager
Qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years progressive leadership experience in commercial food operations. Experience in a protein-related industry is preferred.
Previous food processing experience, supervisory experience, and manufacturing knowledge.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and industry product reporting systems.
Strong communication skills and ability to tactfully handle potentially controversial issues.
Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
Strong mathematical skills and ability to lead problem solving and troubleshooting efforts.
$75 80K base salary 10% annual bonus, (k) & Profit Sharing Plan, Group Health, Vision, Dental, Pharma and Welfare Benefit Plan, Life & AD&D insurance, EAP, 7 paid Holidays, Vacation.
