Description
StepStone Hospitality is seeking a Regional Controller based out of our Providence, RI office. The position will be responsible for a combination of select service and full service hotels around the country. The position will work with both centralized and decentralized environments. Hybrid work is an option.
The Regional Controller plans, directs and manages the provision of accurate, timely and objective financial data from which informed management decisions can be made. Recommends remedial action when and where necessary. Safeguards owner assets by creating and maintaining sound internal control systems. Aids in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts; establishes or recommends to management major economic objectives and policies for the hotel.
The Regional Controller supports the Select Service General Manager and the decentralized Controller to obtain their financial goals by direct preparation of monthly and annual reports summarizing and forecasting hotels revenues, expenses, and earning based on past, present and expected operations. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and the collection and payment of applicable local, state and federal taxes. The Regional Controller will be responsible for maintaining the cash forecast and banking activities for their hotels. The position will maintain positive relationship with Ownership accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
