Steps New York is seeking store manager for our Newport mall location . Retail management experience preferred .

Job Requirement:

• Ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Availability to work the hours necessary to open and/or close the store
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills
• Availability to travel within district, as needed
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Ability to merchandise and manage store operations effectively
• Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely
• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner and listen attentively to others, understand information and provide instructions to all store employees
• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job ( C/C machine, Cash Register, Security Alarm Panel, fax machine, Computer)
• Basic Tasks and Responsibilities include but not limited to
• Assist to District Manager in the recruitment and hiring of the most qualified applicants to meet the store’s needs
• Conduct training, coaching and manage all employees in execution of daily tasks to maximize sales
• Inspire and provide outstanding service to our customers
• Coordinate sales promotion activities and pricing merchandise
• Coordinate; oversee preparation of merchandise placement and displays
• Prepare and review operational reports and records to ensure observance of Company procedures and standards
• Manage payroll budgets
• Prepare and review paperwork relevant to receiving, transfers, damages, returns-to-vendor (RTV) in order to ensure accuracy of inventory
• Ensure that proper channels of communication exist between the store and HQ
• Oversee compliance of Assistant Store Managers and Sales Associates with established Company policies and standards, such as safekeeping of STEPS funds and property,
• Personnel practices, security, sales and record –keeping procedures, and overall maintenance of the store.
• Help solve problems that affect store’s service and efficiency

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $44,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
