Stepping Stones is Hiring an Overnight Summer Camp Counselor Near Cincinnati, OH

Stepping Stones is an impact organization that has been serving individuals with disabilities in Greater Cincinnati since 1963! Our Summer Overnight Staycation program invites teens and adults for an enriching 5-day retreat in a scenic and highly inclusive atmosphere. To lead and engage participants, we are recruiting Overnight Camp Counselors to be part of our dynamic summer team!
As an Overnight Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for creating a memorable summer experience, promoting inclusion and leading participants in a variety of adaptive activities -- including creative arts, sensory science and summer favorites like fishing and archery.
Gain experience and develop a variety of valuable professional skills, including:
- Adaptability
- Assessment of Participant Progress and Program Effectiveness
- Conflict Resolution
- Documentation for the State of Ohio
- Leadership
- Planning and Facilitation of Program Activities
- Problem Solving
- Risk Analysis
Don't have experience working with individuals with disabilities? That's okay! Many staff have a background in social work, special education or therapeutic recreation. For others, this is their first experience working with individuals with disabilities.
We train everyone from all backgrounds on everything they need to know to perform their role well!

Work Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED
- Ability to successfully complete all background check requirements
- Able to successfully complete paid in person training week of May 27th-31st
- Availability to work June 2nd, 2024 through August 1st, 2024 — with exception of the holiday week (June 28th – July 6th)
