We are seeking a skilled and experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) to provide speech and language services to students in local school districts. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat communication and speech disorders in students, and work closely with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs and communicate them to teachers, parents, and other education professionals.
Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve student communication and speech skills.
Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support students’ communication and speech needs in the classroom.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress, treatment plans, and assessments.
Participate in school-based meetings, including Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, and communicate with parents and teachers regularly to update them on student progress.
Provide training and support to teachers and other education professionals on speech and language development and strategies for supporting students with communication disorders.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Active license to practice as an SLP in the state of CA.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting.
Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques for treating speech and language disorders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and documentation.
