Stepping Stones of Rockford, Inc. is Northern Illinois's leading provider of residential psychiatric rehabilitation programs designed to meet the recovery needs of adults with serious mental illnesses. The Mental Health Social Worker assesses, plans, and directs clients' treatment and supervises, educates, and directs support staff in a residential setting.

Essential Functions of the Job:

-Completes a thorough assessment of clients;

-Develops quality treatment plans;

-Performs intakes and discharges of clients;

-Individual therapeutic counseling to clients;

-Oversees the operation, staff, and client care of assigned residential sites;

-Provides guidance and support to staff with addressing problem behaviors;

-Leads clinical team in support of the client's treatment plan;

-Coordinates with staff on-site, psychiatrist, physician, family, and other providers to
ensure continuity of care;

-Responsible for scheduling coverage of assigned sites;

-Provides the agency with clinical, crisis, and administrative on-call coverage.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Mental Health Social Worker is responsible for the overall operations of the sites and the general well-being of all clients assigned to them. The Mental Health Social Worker supervises Program Managers, Mental Health Professionals, rehabilitation services Aides, and other staff as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, a person must be people-oriented, motivated, flexible, able to handle multiple responsibilities, and organized. Requires skill in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and prioritization. The ability to lead individuals, separately and collectively, and exercise good judgment and problem-solving skills are also required. Must have a valid driver's license, liability insurance, and own and operate a passenger vehicle for work.

Education:

Minimum formal requirement: A master's degree in human services or an RN license. Individuals should have five years minimum experience in human services, and one year of administrative or supervisory experience is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $63,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
