About Us

For almost 50 years, Stepping Stone Farm has offered horseback riding lessons to children and adults all throughout Fairfield and Westchester County. Our dedicated team of staff ensures a professional, encouraging, and fun environment for riders to thrive. We are located in Ridgefield, CT on more than 12 acres of land. Our facility includes two outdoor rings, two heated indoor rings, and turnout for the horses.

Job Duties

• Groom and tack horse and ponies for riding lessons
• Longe horses and ponies as needed
• Turn out horses and ponies as needed
• Clean tack
• Set fences for lessons
• Teach riders the basics of English riding
• Provide encouraging and supportive instruction
• Be flexible and adaptive

Qualifications

• Have knowledge of English riding and horsemanship
• At least 18 years of age
• Highly organized
• Be able to lift 30 pounds without assistance
• Be able to stand for extended periods of time

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 15 per week
