Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and other materials handling equipment in a warehouse setting. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment, such as reach trucks, order pickers, pallet jacks, hi-los, and cherry pickers
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and shelves with accuracy and efficiency
- Transport goods to designated areas within the warehouse
- Stack and organize products in the appropriate storage locations
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other equipment as needed
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role
- Valid certification to operate forklifts (Reach truck, Order picker, Lift truck)
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and warehouse operations
- Ability to operate different types of forklifts and equipment
- Familiarity with equipment repair and maintenance procedures is a plus
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Attention to detail and accuracy in load handling
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
