JOB SUMMARY

Operates saw and ensures all products are cut to specifications while maintaining quality and deadlines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate power saws to cut, slot, groove, miter, and trim metal workpieces according to specifications.
• Select and install blade on machine using hand tools.
• Set controls to adjust speed, feed rate, and blade tensions.
• Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct workpiece using tools and measuring devices.
• Scribe reference lines on material as guide for sawing operations according to prints, templates, sample parts, or specifications.
• Mounts workpiece in holding device, manually or using hoist.
• Operate saw to cut along scribed lines.
• Verify dimensions of finished workpiece, using measuring devices.
• Other duties as deemed appropriate by supervisor and management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Constantly stand and/or walk.
• Constantly work in extreme environment, with proper PPE.
• Must have hand/eye coordination with good hand dexterity; fingers need to be able to make small movements such as picking up small to large parts.
• Frequently able to move, carry, lift 25 lbs

Wage:

$17.00 – $21.00 per hour
