We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Addiction Counselor to help our patients with their addictions to substances. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has a background in addiction medicine and can provide a strong case for the use of evidence-based practices. A successful candidate will treat clients with dignity and respect while providing them with ample encouragement and support.

Responsibilities:

• Counsel patients and their families on the effects of drug use and its consequences.
• Communicate with other staff members, including doctors, nurses, social workers, and other counselors.
• Assist addicts in securing alcohol and drug rehabilitation services.
• Adhere to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and other governmental regulations.
• Contribute to the documentation of the patient's medical history.
• Interact with recovering addicts in a manner that is patient-focused, respectful, understanding, and encouraging.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
