This is a full-time, hybrid position located in Hamburg, NY. This position requires residence in the Buffalo area and has the ability to travel across the Western New York region including surrounding suburbs, counties, and occasionally Ontario, Canada.

ABOUT THE JOB

From content creator to marketing mastermind, we’re looking for a driven self-starter who can build and retain an audience of engaged followers on various digital platforms. The right person for the job is intensely passionate about marketing and storytelling, has an eye for design, and is curious, proactive and resourceful. This position requires a strong desire to bring ideas to the table as well as execute them.

As a Content Creator you will create content for a multitude of digital platforms in addition to marketing the brand through content. You will research topics online and first hand, stay on top of trends, and build an online community of people looking for the best things to do, see and experience as well as eat and drink in Buffalo & WNY.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1-2 Years experience in video content creation (minimum)
• Professional content creation experience preferred
• Natural talent for content creation including long form written and on-trend social media content (specifically including but not limited to short-form video ie. TikTok & Instagram Reels)
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Advanced writing and editing skills.
• Exceptional creative marketing skills.
• Proficient research skills.
• People person with outstanding networking and relationship building skills.
• Strong analytical skills, i.e., the ability to analyze results to determine key findings.
• Must be highly detailed and pay special attention to delivering error-free work.
• Meet deadlines.
• Professional.
• Tech-savviness.
• Excellent time management, planning and organization skills.
• Highly passionate about exploring Buffalo and WNY.
• Knowledgeable about Buffalo and WNY region and culture.
• Graphic design understanding and skills.

• Hyped for the latest pop culture trends, niche TikTok sound and/or latest innovations spotted online.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Content creation including: planning, Ideation, filming, editing and publishing. Includes but not limited to social media video, posts, stories, and written content.
• Research and content sourcing online and in-person.
• Explore and uncover the best restaurants, things to do, events, and business across WNY
• Digital content strategy development, execution and distribution.
• Idea-machine. Bring interesting and innovative ideas to the table.
• Content marketing strategy.
• Copywriting.
• Graphic Design as it pertains to content creation and marketing.
• Analyze content and data to strategize ways to grow and bring value to our audience and clients.
• Online community building.
• Build relationships with business in the area and our clients during on-site filming.
• Design and maintain efficient systems and workflows.
• On-site work. Must be available and willing to drive across WNY, including in all-season weather. This job involves driving to a variety of locations multiple times a week.

COMPENSATION

• Total Compensation Range: $50,000 - $65,000
• Total Compensation Range includes base salary, bonuses and benefits. Compensation is based on several non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills, and location.
