Stemworks Orlando is Hiring a CNC Programmer Near Orlando, FL

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining operations and programming, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce precision parts. This role will involve programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to manufacture components according to engineering drawings and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Fusion, Mastercam) based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines including mills (3 1, 3 2) and lathes to produce high-quality components.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for each job.
  • Conduct test runs to ensure proper setup and programming.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or deviations from specifications.
  • Make adjustments to programs and machine settings as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 5 years experience as CNC mill programmer.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).
  • Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion).
  • Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of CNC machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
