Overview
Steinhafels is hiring an Inventory Control Specialist to work in our Waukesha Distribution Center. The Inventory Control Specialist will primarily assist in inventory maintenance throughout the distribution centers and remote retail stores.
Responsibilities
- Identify and solve inventory discrepancies
- Investigate and locate missing pieces and mistagged items
- Keep areas of warehouse free of standing merchandise
- Investigate unusable tags that are currently identifying pieces
- Assist warehouse departments and stores with inventory issues
- Maintain the production flow of furniture for daily deliveries and customer pickups
- Keep an accurate perpetual inventory record and maintain inventory balances within the company’s general ledger
Qualifications
Physical Demands:Regular lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving of furniture up to 100#’s. Regular walking, bending, twisting, climbing, carrying, pushing, pulling, crouching and kneeling.
Position Requirements:Requires strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to create and navigate through Excel spreadsheetsBasic computer skills with a commitment to learn warehouse management systemRequires punctuality and regular attendanceBasic math and reading skillsMay require workday travel to our remote store and DC locations
Working Conditions:Will work primarily indoors within the distribution center and stores
