We are a specialty contractor with 70 years of experience as a dealer/distributor for manufactured cabinets, casework, fume hoods, and equipment in the K-12 and the university market segment. We have exclusive territories in Maryland and Northern Virginia and we are looking to add one more project manager to our team.

This is a salaried position with an annual year-end bonus. Our casework project managers are responsible for each project from time award through submittals, approvals, change orders, field checks, progress meetings, timely release of material from multiple factories, installation (we have our experienced installation crews), punch lists (we aim for zero punch lists) and close out documents. This includes:

1. Reviewing the entire scope of work before sending plans and specs to the factories, carefully reviewing bid prices from our vendors for accurate estimates based on the specifications, and noting any exclusions to our bid price.

2. Submittal and approval process, field measuring and on-site progress meetings, change orders, monitoring project schedules for timely release material for production, anticipated delivery dates, coordinating delivery, installation, a timely punch, and closeout.

Our contracts are awarded through the county bid process and by construction managers and general contractors. Our accounting department does the monthly AIA billing based on the project manager's report of work completed.

The candidate must have excellent computer skills and experience with software such as Excel, BlueBeam, Procore, and Spectrum, and project management software is required.
