Position Details:

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
• Pay Range: Up to $26.00/hour (Depends upon experience and shift schedule)

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure truck is safely docked at appropriate plant.
• Unload trucks using Bill of Lading / Packing Slip to check and match inventory.
• Assist in inspection as to quality, type, part numbers, dimensions, etc. to properly identify materials.
• Assists with management of inventory organization, racking and parts bin ID labeling, periodic cycle counts and reporting
• Prepare appropriate paperwork or records and turn in for processing.
• When possible, move products, supplies and returned goods to appropriate locations in production areas using forklifts to transport parts.
• Observes all safety rules and follows all safety procedures
• Maintains up to date certification for operating motorized material handling equipment
• Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, inspection and transportation of goods.
• Palletize, band or wrap material for shipment; inspect material for shipment
• Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
• Verify computations against physical count of stock.
• Maintains a safe and clean work area
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1 year experience in shipping and receiving in manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Must have some computer knowledge including adequate computer data entry skills.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and ability and be able to identify problems with forklifts.
• Six to twelve months of material handling or warehouse work experience.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with coworkers and supervisors.
• Must have and wear protective gear designated for the Department and job.
• Must be able to climb on and off the forklift repeatedly during the work day.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
