POSITION SUMMARY The Steamboat Sports Sheraton Manager must have 2 years of guest service experience, cash handling experience, 1 year of supervisory experience, at least 2 years of experience in a ski and/or bike shop. ESSENTIAL DUTIES General Responsibilities Responsible for supervision of rental, retail, and demo staff at the Sheraton Steamboat Sports location Administer budget and financial decisions concerning expenses and labor to meet operating budgets Readily available on the sales floor to answer questions, motivate, and provide support necessary for staff Identify, organize and complete equipment or facility maintenance projects Staff management and administration including hiring, training, scheduling, teambuilding, coaching, evaluations and disciplinary action Ability to work under stressful situations while maintaining good customer relations Communicate directly with clients and vendors regarding any issues and concerns that arise Maintaining proper inventory levels for expected guest volume in conjunction with all other shops Must be willing to work directly with other SSRC Retail Rental managers on specific processes involving inventory and the Demo fleet sales and rental Assist director of R&R ops in developing, administering and evaluating short and long term goals for the assigned outlet, including merchandising, incentive programs, product adjustments and suggestions, etc. Maintain an up to date knowledge of the ski & mountain bike industry and the products that are available in each shop Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements for the ski and bike rental industry Full operational duties related to daily management of the Steamboat Bike Shop. Other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Must have at least 2 years of experience in a ski shop (Business management, merchandising, and retail/rental experience or education preferred) At least 2 years of guest service experience required Must have at least 1 year of supervisory experience Prior cash handling experience required Must have general computer average proficiency Familiarity and experience with mountain bikes required Prior experience reading and managing to revenue and labor budget recommended. Must be able to pass all necessary binding certification tests Ability to problem solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers Ability to be a consistent role model for company’s Service Excellence standards EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED equivalent Required Bachelor of Business Management preferred. High Volume Ski/Bike Rental experience preferred. The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives.
