Position
As an Associate Scientist on the AI Drug Design group, you will work on a laboratory team responsible for manual and automated screening and characterization of proteins for drug design and discovery. We are looking for an Associate Scientist to join our high-throughput screening team. You will be conducting experiments at the bench on a daily basis to improve the performance of our workflows. You will work collaboratively with protein designers, biologists, computational scientists, and other drug discovery team members.

You can present results and summarize progress to help internal decision-making. Qualifications
· Bachelor’s in molecular biology, Synthetic Biology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Protein Chemistry, or similar field
· 5 years of laboratory experience (preferred industry experience)
· Experience with at least 2 of the following:
o Molecular biology (primer design, Gibson, Golden Gate, Ligation, CRISPR)
o Eukaryotic cells (Cell line maintenance, transient transfections)
o Protein purification (AKTA, HPLC, SDS-PAGE, BLI/SPR)
o Functional assays (luminescence, flow cytometry, activity, viability, etc)
· Demonstrated ability to improve protocols to yield more reproducable/improved results
Preferred Skill(s)
· NGS library preparation
· Experience with high throughput assay development
· Experience with liquid handling, robotics, and workflow
· Experience using LIMS and Benchling systems
