Medical Assistant - Family Practice (Must be bi-lingual in Spanish)

Our expanding Private Primary Care Practice in Katy is seeking a Bi-lingual experienced Medical Assistant with strong desire to grow in a Family Practice setting, providing support and clinical assistance to Primary Care Physicians. At least 2 years’ experience in a Primary Care/Urgent Care role is required.

The ability to multitask and prioritize is especially important while being able to execute multiple tasks and keeping a pleasant composure.

Main Duties will include - Supporting physicians to maintain patient flow by providing intuitive assistance in preparing patients for their appointments by:

• Providing basic medical Triage to Patients as they arrive to the clinic
• Interviewing patients for case histories and key health information
• Entering pertinent information into the EHR
• Conducting Rapid Tests (COVID/Flu swabs, Strep, Uranalysis) if indicated
• Providing physicians with clinical assistance including:
• Administering and recording vaccinations
• Conducting EKGs, Ear Lavage, POC (Point-of-Care) testing
• Assisting physicians with minor procedures

Provide support for Lab Testing by:

• Blood draws/phlebotomy - must have strong skills in blood draws
• Maintaining Lab/Procedure Room supplies
• Preparing Lab/Procedure Room for tests & procedures
• Preparing and handling Lab tests for daily pick-up by Labs.

Additional tasks may include:

• Covering Front Desk duties when need arises
• Covering Referrals Preparation when need arises

Candidates must possess strong organization skills, be self-starters with good clinical abilities and display a friendly, professional attitude. Attention to detail, punctuality and reliability are a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
