A Safety Service Specialist role is currently available at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE) in Paterson, Washington. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and regulations.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in operational site audits while developing and delivering safety training modules to employees.

Safety Service Specialist job responsibilities include :

  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of the safety management system (ANSI Z10) including necessary policies and procedures to ultimate VPP Star status.
  • Maintain and routinely test emergency preparedness plans.
  • Provide emergency first aid or ensure emergency first aid is available.
  • Manage the maintenance of all required safety and loss prevention records and documentation.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of Agricultural vineyard operations.
  • Assist in the continued development of Agricultural Safety Programs
  • Maintain company compliance with safety-related local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure safety inspections are conducted at all locations and file appropriate reports.
  • Review capital projects for safety and health impacts
  • Conduct and document incident investigations

Preferred Position Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Bachelor of Science in safety or environmental related field is preferred.
  • 3 years safety experience in agricultural or manufacturing operations
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English is preferred
  • Advanced certification such as a CIH, CSP, CHMM is preferred
  • Experience conducting investigations
  • Experience in EHS-related programs
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Visio) able to demonstrate proficiencies.
  • Must have a strong and demonstrable knowledge of EHS topics such as confined space, hazardous energy control, SPCC, wastewater, drinking water, hazard / risk assessments etc.
  • Must be 21 years or older (Alcohol).
  • A history of responsible alcohol use and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and / or certified by state and / or local regulatory bodies.

Your Compensation :

$80,123-$104,656.00, / yr. based upon relevant experience.
