STCU is Hiring a Loan processor Near Liberty, WA

Job Description

The Indirect Loan Processor I position is responsible for funding a high volume of indirect dealer and merchant loans. In addition to funding, the position is highly involved maintaining with dealer and merchant relationships with professional communications via phone, email, or events.

Core Job Requirements / Outcomes :

  • Prepare documentation and loan files for the indirect program by reviewing and auditing the loan packet to ensure all documentation is current and up to date, is appropriately signed and dated, and loan files are completed ready for funding.
  • Ensure that the Indirect department and credit unions loan production goals are met by accurately processing, funding, and closing a high volume of Indirect dealer and merchant packets in a timely matter.

Other Essential Functions

  • Assist in the execution of the strategic goals by providing operational support as needed to other key lending areas of the credit union which include Lending Center, Member Development, and Consumer Underwriting.
  • Input, update, and maintain departmental data that is utilized for tracking departmental goals, monitoring dealerships portfolio performance, and statistical reporting provided to executive leadership.
  • Assist with ensuring the department is compliant with internal and external compliance standards by assisting with the completion and tracking of the department’s monthly certification and auditing reports.
  • Maintain knowledge in and adhere to policies, procedures and established processes in order to support compliance requirements for the department and the organization overall.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with indirect partners by ensuring the best intent of the credit union.

Qualifications

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Job Experience : Minimum of one-year experience in consumer processing / documentation and / or origination is required with prior experience that was deadline-oriented and required strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Software Skills : Proficient in all MS office programs to include Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.

Equipment Skills : Previous experience in keyboarding / PC and 10-key calculator.

Other Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills required in order to maintain positive working relationships and to effectively collaborate within a diverse work group.

Physical Demands : Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull / push and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations.

Work Conditions : Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting.

Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Travel Demands : Reliable transportation is required for occasional travel to dealerships or dealer events.
