Position Summary: As the Social Host, you are responsible for the preparation and cleanup of evening social events and ensuring guest satisfaction. You are also responsible for greeting guests and serving beverages (both alcoholic and non alcoholic) and snacks to guests. You must perform all Social Host duties in accordance with the Company policies and procedures

Offers courteous and sincere hospitality at all times. Understands what is meant by “good guest service”. (Provides the public with uniform, consistent, efficient, courteous, high-quality service in addition to a clean hotel and grounds.) 2. Answers questions about the hotel and community, is knowledgeable about the location of attractions, restaurants and shopping, and answers complaints or concerns by the guests. 3. Is part of the hotel’s security team and is responsible for immediately reporting, orally or in writing, any potential safety or security hazards to immediate supervisor. 4. Reports any problems, orally or in writing, concerning guest relations, maintenance, and food product quality and freshness to immediate supervisor on a daily basis. 5. Prepares all food in accordance to required cooking instructions. 6. Must obtain any food safety or other certifications required by the local public health authorities. 7. Maintains the cleanliness of the floors, furniture, counters, freezers, refrigerators, workstations and work area in the great room and food preparation area 8. Cleans and sanitizes all food display containers, trays, plates etc. 9. Stores food products in a safe and clean storage area in an orderly manner. 10. Monitors and adjusts the temperature of the refrigeration equipment to maintain the freshness of the food products. The refrigerator should be 36-38F (2-3C) and freezer should be 0 F (-18C). 11. Documents information for temperature logs and usage paperwork (if applicable). 12. Uses first in – first out inventory method to prevent spoilage of food products. Removes food products that are not fresh from inventory and places those food products in the waste receptacle (dumpster). 13. Uses plastic gloves and hair net when restocking food items. Hands must be washed frequently to avoid contamination of food products. 14. Places food items in appropriate containers for serving food to guests and keeps containers fully stocked during the social event hours. 15. Makes coffee, supplies and cleans coffee counter /great room area. 16. Restocks food and other containers used in the serving area. 17. Provides manager with list of inventory and items that need to be ordered. 18. Is responsible for locking the preparation area and the serving area (if applicable) after social event hours. 19. Takes all waste to the garbage dumpster daily. 20. Is responsible for being aware of any changes in hotel operations or policies. 21. Must be of legal age and meet all requirements for serving alcoholic beverages according to state and local laws. 22. Complies with BBP, OSHA, and Hazcomm 2012 standards. Knows the potential hazards of any chemicals used and the proper personal protective equipment required. Uses personal protective equipment as directed by Safety Data Sheets. Must have Food Handler License.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 – 20 per week
