Staubli Electrical connectors is Hiring a Senior PV Technician Near Windsor, CA

Summary

Under general direction of the Local, Regional, and Global Heads of Services, this position is responsible to Grow Staubli Renewable Energy Services’ market presence in their dedicated geographic area. You will do this by establishing and growing customer relationships, as well as providing a set of services to these customers in order to grow year-on-year order entry gained from them. Manage and develop the customer relationships by meeting customer expectations and delivering value added services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule and perform PV DC health assessments / inspections / audits on operational systems (this include performing construction QA/QC and third-party commissioning oversight/verification). It can also include Emergency response (dispatch to site on short notice) and investigations on customer’s site premises. Site types include residential, commercial/industrial and utility scale solar installations. The health assessments are focused on the DC distribution part of a PV system (DC connectors and DC wiring)
  • Document results providing a technical report and concise descriptions of any quality issues, including those which have noted deficiencies requiring corrective action.
  • Work with Project Management to manage inspection requests
  • Manage schedules upon multiple platforms with numerous stakeholders
  • Provide closed-loop learnings to cross-functional teams
  • Inspect properties and materials for compliance with plans, specifications, and manufacturers’ requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain certifications, licenses, and insurance required for work as in the assigned region.
  • Perform training education program by rolling out our training program to different customer groups, such as PV asset owner, EPC teams, and/or installers.
  • Responsible for income derived from a set of customers within a defined geographical region
  • Participate and contribute to the growth of Staubli’s renewable energy services business

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must:

  • Possess field experience in construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance of PV systems
  • Experienced in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) throughout a PV projects life cycle
  • Experienced in working in Utility, Commercial and Industrial PV projects
  • 3 years of experience in solar operations and maintenance, performance analytics, or technical asset management
  • Ability to use fieldwork software technology tools and navigate numerous computer applications and technology independently.
  • A demonstrated passion for, or commitment to, our mission with Staubli’s Renewable Energy Services
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a cross functional team but have the ability to work independently.
  • Intellectual agility and curiosity, superb analytical skills; problem-solving is your default mode
  • Ability to work in extreme environments and lift up to 20kg (approx. 50 lbs)
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable and safe driving record.
  • Maintaining the safety of themselves and others by adhering to all written and verbal instructions, promptly reporting and/or correcting all hazards or unsafe conditions, questioning nonstandard operations or environmental factors that may involve unmitigated hazards
  • Growing understanding of the geographical territory and its potential for new customers. Has shown the desire to find new opportunities and excels at networking to become a leader in the market.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
  • Punctual and able to attend regular team meetings.
  • Committed to delivering excellent and consistent customer service with follow-up when necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must be capable of writing technical reports
  • Experience in a growth company is preferable
  • Desire and ability to perform independently. Excellent organizational and self-management capability required. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and PV installation practices.
  • Basic MS office applications
  • Use of mobile phone and its applications

Education and/or Experience

Any one of the following Certifications/ Licenses:

  • NABCEP Certified PV Installer, OR UL PV Installer Certification, OR Professional Engineer, OR Licensed Electrician, OR a combination of NABCEP Associate Certification and Journeyman.
  • International Code Council (ICC) certification as a Residential Electrical Inspector
  • License as a General / Electrical Contractor or license/certification as a solar system installer

Salary range = $75,000 - $85,000
