Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of a new ERP system.
• Assist the production management team with the design and execution of Lean Manufacturing initiatives
• Manage production processes to ensure DBS remains as efficient as possible without compromising our steadfast commitment to the safety of employees
• Monitor operations to ensure production demands are being met and that products meet Drawer Box Specialties quality standards
• Collaborate directly with design and engineering departments to understand product and build project prototypes
• Implement solutions that will improve safety, reliability, or quality issues in production processes
• Deliver success from the development to the implementation of the project
• Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale
• Minimize waste and reduce bottlenecks
• Support process improvement activities and safety
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with wood products manufacturing is preferable.
• Excellent computer skills. Experience with design software like CabinetVision, Allmoxy, Autocad, and other design programs is highly desirable but not a requirement.

• An understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement and the ability to drive change through the organization.
• Ability to think critically and problem solve effectively using statistical analysis.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and projects to completion with minimal supervision, while balancing competition.
• Clear and effective communication and listening skills with internal and external customers and suppliers
• Degree in engineering or a related field.
• A plus, but not required: Fluent in Spanish reading, writing, and speaking.
