Stater Bros. Markets is Hiring a Program Coordinator (Charities) Near San Bernardino, CA

JOB SUMMARY:

Stater Bros. Charities’ mission is to uplift Southern California communities through fundraising and investing in local nonprofits that provide hands-on support. Throughout the year, Stater Bros. Markets vendors seek out opportunities to partner with Stater Bros. Charities to further our efforts and support our communities.

This role will be instrumental in fostering and expanding partnerships with our vendor network and working cross-functionally with various Stater Bros. Markets departments to advance our mission.

The ideal candidate acts as the central point of communication for the Vendor Partnership program, has strong organizational and time management skills, and is solution-oriented. They can accept and prioritize delegated work, validate or establish requirements, problem-solve obstacles, and follow up to completion with a high degree of independence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Develop with the Leadership Team and manage a Vendor Partnership program
  • Responsible for tracking the Stater Bros. Charities’ annual budget for vendor partnerships
  • Work cross-functionally with vendor partners and Stater Bros. Markets functional areas to develop and implement cause marketing campaigns
  • Serve as a liaison between Stater Bros. Charities, Stater Bros. Markets, and vendor partners
  • Responsible for maintaining positive vendor relationships throughout the campaign
  • Create a workflow with tasks for campaign execution and assign tasks to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Coordinates campaign activities and manages project scope to ensure campaign needs are completed according to schedule, assigned tasks, and budget
  • Manage and track each vendor partnership's marketing and communication plans
  • Schedule and attend touchpoint meetings between Stater Bros. Markets functional areas and stakeholders
  • Regularly inform vendors of program progress. Initiate and maintain contact with other key individuals for clarification and coordination

JOB RESPONSIBILITES (CONT.):

  • Prepare partnership briefs for each campaign
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Work with the Stater Bros. Markets Corporate Communications Manager on press releases and media alerts
  • Collaborate on volunteer opportunities with the Stater Bros. Markets Community Relations Manager, vendor partners, and nonprofit organizations
  • Track campaign progress and effectiveness
  • Assist in coordinating check presentations post-campaign with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain a system for tracking campaigns, aiming to continuously improve processes and deliverables
  • Maintain Stater Bros. Charities overview for new or inquiring vendors
  • Work with Stater Bros. Markets general counsel on vendor agreements
  • Attend industry and community events on behalf of Stater Bros. Charities
  • Track and manage Stater Bros. Charities event sponsors (events include Believe Walk, Jingle Bell Run, etc.)
  • All other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation of Stater Bros. Charities and Stater Bros. Markets Public Relations Department

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Experience in marketing, communications, and/or project management
  • Knowledge of community giving practices and concepts related to the company’s culture and philanthropic programs
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to work across organizational lines and functional areas
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, and write reports and correspondences. Must be able to pay continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofreading
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to establish and meet strict deadlines, including the ability to work effectively under pressure within limited time constraints
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with all levels of individuals doing business from within and outside the Company
  • Confidentiality, integrity, accuracy, and problem-solving are required.
  • Be a flexible and collaborative team player, evolving to suit the needs of the business and supporting teammates along the way
  • Some evening and weekend availability is required, as needed, to support charitable & operational events
  • Must be able to attend offsite events
