The Department of Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the Head Athletic Trainer position.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the successful candidate will discharge the following responsibilities:
Lead in administering the University's Athletic Training Services program.
Evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries.
Provide expert review and documentation of injuries.
Work closely with the Team Physician, work with medical professionals and University Health Services providers, referring student-athletes for appropriate medical care, as needed.
Lead assistant athletic trainers and coordinate all services.
Provide on-court/field/ice/pool athletic training services.
Postseason travel with assigned teams.
Coordinate and manage inventory and ordering of supplies.
Serve as a preceptor for AT students and interns.
Complete and file required paperwork.
Maintain positive relations with local health care providers.
Participate in committees and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession;
Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field unless grandfathered in with previous requirements;
Current certification from NATA Board or Certification;
CPR/AED/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer Certification;
Must be licensed/eligible for New York State licensure;
Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights and weekends when necessary;
Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to work towards departmental objectives;
Valid driver's license and ability to pass LENS certification;
Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents in support of campus and department mission;
Demonstrated commitment to the university, division, and profession.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree with prior athletic training experience;
Experience in Athletic training at the NCAA D3 level.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, term appointed, tenure track position beginning August 10, 2023 with an annual salary of $60,000.
