The Coordinator of Student Involvement and EAP reports directly to the Associate Director of Campus Life, and reports to the Director of Human Resources in their capacity as EAP (Employee Assistance Program) Coordinator. The coordinator is responsible for assisting with coordinating, developing, and implementing programs on campus aimed at enhancing the professional, personal and social development of students, as well as the health and wellness of employees. The coordinator will provide confidential information, assessments, and referrals to NYS employees and their family members who are experiencing personal or work-related problems. The coordinator also provides leadership to student organizations affiliated with the Department of Student Engagement & Inclusion.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative
Assist with the daily operations of the Williams Center and Campus Life.
Execute other related responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Director of Campus Life.
Conduct assessments of programs and provide reports for the department.
Collaborate with various campus stakeholders, participate in committees and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession.
Responsible for administrative tasks in the absence of the Associate Director of Campus Life
Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies.
Student Engagement
Assist with the development and implementation of training, workshops, and other types of programs aimed at enhancing the personal and professional growth of students and student staff.
Assist with the coordination and implementation of large campus events i.e. Family Weekend, Summer Orientation, Jumpstart, Welcome Weekend, Senior Expo, and major Campus Life Events.
Ensure that programming is complementary to and in support of, the mission, goals and values of the institution; Student Affairs; and the Department of Student Engagement & Inclusion.
Student Education & Group Support
Assist with the development & implementation of training for executive board leaders.
Assist with support, including advising, to major student organizations such as Student Association and Spectrum Entertaining Board.
Assist with event planning for student organizations.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Provide confidential information, assessments, and referrals to NYS/SUNY Fredonia employees and their family members who are experiencing personal or work-related problems. Training in this regard will be provided by the NYS EAP program.
Create, present and/or coordinate employee health and wellness programming in coordination with the EAP committee and Director.
May provide other presentations to employees on behalf of HR in coordination with Human Resources.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Typically this need can be planned for in advance based on program need.
Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues for program growth and enhancement.
The ability to multitask, meet goals and deadlines.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree.
Knowledge and experience in evaluating student/employee participation and program success (assessment).
Proven ability to work with diverse constituencies within the academic community.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and the needs of diverse learners.
Experience creating and designing programs and related material, including presentations, announcements, flyers, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
Experience presenting information.
Familiarity with and ability to identify appropriate community resources.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
Experience with an employee assistance program
Experience creating and designing programming to groups (e.g. health and wellness)
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, term appointed, tenure track position beginning October 2023 at a salary of $45,000 .
