The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ), Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), is looking for highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team. DOJ is currently recruiting for a Program and Policy Analyst – Grant Coordinator to join the Field Operations Bureau. The vacant project position is located at the Milwaukee Field Office. Position Summary
This position performs advanced level professional work and serves as the statewide coordinator for the COPS Anti-Heroin Task Force (AHTF) and COPS Anti- Methamphetamine Program (CAMP) grants, in addition to the Authorized Central Storage (ACS) Container Program that supports Clandestine Laboratory Investigations. The person in this position will provide a high level of monitoring of the aforementioned programs and make recommendations for the continuous improvement of the program. The main responsibility will be to monitor, provide oversight over, and serve as the main point of contact for the COPS AHTF Grant, CAMP Grant, and ACS Container Program, although the position will also have a strong training and networking component.

Salary Information
The Program and Policy Analyst – Grant Coordinator project position is in pay schedule 07 and pay range 04. The starting pay will be between $25.00 and $33.36/hr. An add-on of up to $1.00/hr. may be available for candidates who are bilingual. Pay for current or former state employees will follow the provisions found in the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan effective at the time of hire.
Job Details
Based on current funding, this project position is expected to end September 30, 2025, with the possibility of extending for an additional year. As a project employee, you will continue to receive all rights and privileges afforded to original probationary employees by state law, with the exception of tenure, transfer, reinstatement and layoff benefits.
The Department of Justice does not sponsor work visas at the time of hire or anytime during employment. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required Employment Eligibility Form I-9.
An extensive background check, including fingerprints, drug screening and psychological evaluation will be completed on all DCI applicants prior to selection.
Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants must have education, training and/or experience in the following : Grant administration, reimbursement tracking, and agency agreements. Local, state, tribal, and federal public safety programs. Methamphetamine and Opioid related issues and risks. Criminal justice system and law enforcement programs. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Problem-solving skills.
In addition to the minimum qualifications, a well-qualified applicant will have education, training, and/or experience in the following: Setting up and conducting training. Knowledge of Clandestine Laboratories. Disposal of Clandestine Laboratories.
