The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Bureau of Technology Services is recruiting to fill a Regional Information Management Specialist (RIMS) vacancies in the IS Comprehensive Services – Specialist classification located in Spooner, WI.

Regional Information Management Specialists (RIMS) are responsible for providing technology services, consultation and support to programs and staff. They participate in collaboratively defining service standards and processes across the agency, and also create technical policies, standards, and procedures for use by Divisional technicians and other agencies. RIMS are the technical leads for remote sites.
The RIMS provide technical support and consultation via incident, service request, and change management for technology infrastructure including but not limited to teleconferencing, local area networks, virtual LANs, workstations, workstation software, smart phones, tablets, and peripherals. They also provide remote support for Agency functions including but limited to: Incident Management, Natural Resources Board, and Telepresence events.
These positions are responsible for delivering high quality incident, service request, technical and logistic support to provide excellent customer service.

Starting pay is $31.56 - $34.50 per hour ($65,644.80 - $71,760 annually).
Pay on appointment for current or former state employees is based on the State Compensation Plan. Current State employees applying as a transfer applicant will require DPM approval for pay on transfer increases.
These positions are in Pay Schedule/Range 07-33. A 12-month probation period may be required.
Employment will require the selected candidate to pass a criminal background check, including a CJIS (fingerprint) check. DNR does not sponsor work visas, thus, in compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.
All state employees are required to report their COVID vaccination status, whether vaccinated or not, and must provide supporting documentation if vaccinated. Newly hired employees will be required to submit this information within their first two weeks of employment.
