Position Overview
The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) invites applications for the Student Support Programs Integrations Coordinator. The Integrations Coordinator supports the colleges and State Board by providing integrated technical support to colleges and SBCTC staff by coordinating program funding surveys, grant/program application process, and information management for the Basic Food Employment and Training (BFET), WorkFirst, Opportunity Grant, and other student support programs. This position plays a strong role in coordinating strategic integration efforts across Student Support Programs at the SBCTC by supporting colleges in providing access to education and support for all students.
Headquartered in Olympia, this position requires the ability to think holistically across multiple programs, support and assist in integration efforts, understand complex policy issues specific to student support programs, research information, and trouble-shoot technical and programming issues. This position also requires the ability to cultivate and support collaborative working relationships with State Board staff, colleges, community-based organizations, and external partners. This position requires strong project management, computer literacy and communication, and relationship skills. This position does require in-state travel.
This position will have the option to work remotely or work from agency offices. However, travel to Olympia for in-person meetings, system meetings, conferences, and face-to-face professional development offerings is required.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Student Services Policy Associate for Student Support Programs.

Duties

This position is instrumental to the coordination of impactful integration and equity efforts across student supports programs to increase racial, social, and economic equity for students in alignment with the agency's strategic plan, vision, and mission.

Coordination and Management

  • Management of Student Support Programs information systems, including coordinating and supporting efforts to ensure management of multiple systems and information
  • Manage eJAS processes and access and Student Support Programs Canvas Community
  • Collect, review, and analyze program data and prepare documents for SBCTC staff, internal, and external stakeholders such as monthly billing status reports, quarterly enrollment and headcount reports,
  • Coordinate the process for college submission of program approval requests for Opportunity Grant
  • Management of High Wage/High Demand requests from WorkFirst providers across multiple institutions of higher education, public, and private career schools and community-based agencies
  • Serve as the point of contact for the WorkFirst Validation review collection from colleges and submission to Department of Social Health Services
  • Coordinate the development of Student Services Department's annual grant calendar and processes across Student Support programs, including annual timeline, calendaring, tracking, communications
  • Manage the collaborative development, and facilitation of quarterly funding surveys across all Student Support Programs


Support and Technical Assistance

  • Provide technical assistance to colleges and State Board staff administering Student Support Programs
  • Assists with developing and coordinating statewide program activities, quarterly meetings, information sessions, and cross-department joint meetings that meet accessibility standards and support a safe inclusive environment
  • Identify, prepare, and coordinate common program process alignment to best support colleges and reduce redundancies
  • Prepare accessible print and web-based content to support program promotion and provider needs
  • Support efforts to ensure colleges have the resources needed to provide equitable access to education and connect students to supports to meet basic needs
  • Support and collaboration with other program initiatives and programming as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

A successful candidate is required to have:

  • Excellent customer service, written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) work
  • Superior technical skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, online communication applications, and database programs, such as eJAS, CANVAS, PeopleSoft and legacy database systems
  • Strong ability to work independently as well as within a highly collaborative team
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to accommodate multiple stakeholders with various interests and needs
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong planning and project management ability
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings and technical trainings
  • Demonstrated experience with help desk functions and on-site technical support and training
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting, reviewing, and applying program specific policies, procedures and regulations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of related experience and/or education
  • Experience with WorkFirst, BFET, and other student supports programs preferred
