DSHS TIA IT Customer Support - Journey
Here is your opportunity to make an impact on the success of Eastern State Hospital (ESH) and the Behavioral Health Administration (BHA). You will support over 1,000 users with mission critical programs and applications, helping us provide the highest level of care and services possible.
As the IT Customer Support - Journey, your role will involve providing technical leadership, support, and empowerment for end-users' IT capabilities. Additionally, you will be accountable for maintaining and optimizing the performance of end-user devices, which include hardware, software, and peripherals. Join us today and help us Transform Lives!
There are two permanent opportunities available, one full-time and one part-time.
Some of what you’ll do:

  • Provide customer services and desktop support to management and staff
  • Performs security upgrades to workstations, laptops, and tablets
  • Manage and provide primary support services for print/scan / copy / fax (MFP) services.
  • Support and manage organizational tools and assets.
  • Serve in an Application Administrator capacity for applications and tools assigned to the Desktop Support team
  • Manage the life cycle of End-User Devices
  • Perform security upgrades to workstations, laptops, and tablets to maintain appropriate systems and data security.
What we’re looking for:
Professionals with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely allied field
OR
Professionals with an Associate’s degree in computer science or a closely allied field plus two years of experience in desktop and/or application support
OR
Four experience in desktop and/or applications support
AND
At least three years of experience managing Microsoft Active Directory in a complex, multi-tiered, federated environment and building / maintaining computer images using Windows Deployment Services.
Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • A Master’s degree in computer science or closely allied field
  • Advanced knowledge of various Microsoft operating systems and products, including M365 and O365
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems
  • Advanced hardware / software troubleshooting and defect resolution skills, including Remote Desktop and Remote Assist utility programs
  • Ability to research issues, equipment, and technology using both in-house documents and technical resources sites including vendor technical support sites.
