DSHS FFA Fiscal Analyst 3

Join the dedicated team of professionals at the Facilities, Finance and Analytics Administration (FFA), Consolidated Business Services 3, as a Fiscal Analyst 3. You will function as a financial lead worker or performs professional senior level financial review and analysis of accounting, auditing or fiscal data in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, governmental accounting standards, budgeting guidelines, statutes or regulations.
This position is professional senior level position, and you will make decisions independently within your area of responsibility. In this role, you will independently plan, coordinate, and conduct fiscal reviews of a comprehensive fiscal nature. You will design, develop, install, coordinate, and maintain financial systems in the region in support of five Institutions within the Department of Social and Health Services, consisting of Western State Hospital (WSH). You are expected to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Multi-tasking and the ability to effectively manage your work schedule to meet deadlines is an aspect of the job. Who should apply?
A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 semester or 18 quarter hours in accounting, auditing or budgeting and 2-3 years of professional accounting experience. Professional experience may substitute for education but not usually for the credit hours.
A Master’s degree in a financial related field, certification as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, Certified Governmental Financial Manager or Management Accountant can be substituted for professional experience. Experience may substitute for the degree but not the credit hours.
