DSHS ESA Support Enforcement Technician

The Economic Services Administration, Division of Child Support is currently seeking a Support Enforcement Technician to join us in the Vancouver office Support Team. Your work here will help Transform Lives!
This role will mostly be onsite with an 8 A.M. - 5 P.M. work schedule. Limited telework may be available after training has been completed
As a Support Enforcement Technician, you will perform multiple technical duties in a fast-paced environment. This position provides customer service via telephone, computer, and correspondence with internal and external stakeholders including clients paying support, clients receiving support, office staff, employers, and the general public. This position requires maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with state and federal statutes and regulations. It requires the ability to perform extensive clerical duties as well as customer service functions.

  • Ability to remain focused and motivated while performing multiple, repetitive assignments
  • Ability to multitask and switch priorities with little notice in a fast-paced, detail-orientated work environment
  • Effectively comprehend and relay statutes, departmental regulations, and programs relating to child support
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service by communicating timely, consistently, and professionally daily with a diverse internal and external customer base
  • Someone who can keep up communications in a virtual environment
  • Ability to learn new tasks and communicate when you do not know how to do something
Who should apply?
Professionals with keyboard and Windows proficiency AND one of the following:
  • Two years of college-level coursework
  • Two years of customer service-related experience within a program and/or services related to research, investigation, auditing, writing, reporting, administration, law enforcement, community relations, or allied field
Note: Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute year for year.
