The Warrants Unit operates under strict timelines for warrant entry and validation of records that are in alignment Washington State Patrol and DOC policy/procedures. The Warrants Unit is a 24/7 unit comprised of 3 shifts- day shift, swing shift and graveyard. Staff must be on duty to answer phones at all times; this makes all positions critical to ensuring the vital functions of public safety and warrant operations continue uninterrupted. All staff within the unit are designated as COOP (Continuity of Operations Plans), with a mandatory minimum of 2 staff required to be on shift at all times. Overtime may be awarded/may be mandatory to ensure there is sufficient staff coverage.
