Job Overview:

The Health-Related Boards Investigators (HRBI) will serve as field investigator for 34 Health-Related Boards in the Office of Investigations. The duty for these positions involves investigating complaint allegations, collecting pertinent evidence, and preparing concise reports detailing the investigative findings.

Key Responsibilities:

The HRBI Health Related Boards Investigator field investigators will represent the Department in investigating complaint allegations of licensed healthcare providers on behalf of the 34 health related boards for the State of Tennessee; conducts in-person interviews of complainants, witnesses, and respondents to determine the veracity of the allegations filed against a licensed healthcare provider; collects, evaluates, and processes evidence; prepares written reports documenting the findings of the investigation; coordinates with law enforcement agencies (State and Federal) throughout the state of Tennessee regarding allegations of criminal activity by licensed healthcare providers; and coordinates throughout the life of the investigation with the Office of General Counsel.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of full-time increasingly responsible professional nursing work or a bachelor's degree in criminal justice with at least five years of full-time investigative experience conducting healthcare investigations
