How you make a difference in this role:

CFG is seeking a Management Consultant (MC) to support the Senior Management Consultant (SMC) team in managing a dedicated portion of CFGs project and program portfolio. The MC will support SMCs in managing department accounts and leading engagements that drive operational efficiency and improve performance management.


Key Responsibilities:

Support SMCs in facilitating single and multi-agency strategic planning sessions to define goals, objectives, and action plans that drive efficiency and enhance performance across state government.

  • Support SMCs in facilitating single and multi-agency strategic planning sessions to define goals, objectives, and action plans that drive efficiency and enhance performance across state government.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers to identify opportunities for program and service analysis and operational improvement.
  • Support SMCs and/or lead business optimization and strategy development projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality deliverables across all facets of the project.
  • Perform dynamic work across multiple project teams, fostering a collaborative, supportive work environment that results in high-quality performance and deliverables.
  • Support SMCs with stakeholder interviews by managing logistics and posing thoughtful questions to assist the customer with their demonstrated needs.
  • Support SMCs with researching and analyzing complex problems, providing informed recommendations to customers.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, compelling presentations and reports to communicate project findings and recommendations.
  • Co-manage internal program assignments and associated deliverables.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational leadership, or comparable area of study required. Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with a combination of process improvement, strategic planning, and/or project management.
  • Experience using process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Demonstrated skills in complex problem solving and the ability to multitask in a fast-moving environment with different functional areas.
  • Adept at building stakeholder relationships, cultivating trust, and exercising confidentiality.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, as well as dynamic public-speaking and presentations skills.
  • Proficient at working in a team environment with responsibilities that change with each project.
  • Comfortable with ambiguous assignments and evolving situations.
  • Results-oriented self-starter with a strong sense of urgency around tangible results.
  • Core competencies include: project management, program management, performance management, process improvement, facilitation, and problem solving.
