State of South Carolina is Hiring a Program Coordinator II -61078951 Near Richland, SC

The South Carolina Office of Resilience is seeking a hardworking and dependable candidate just like you to apply! This position is located within the South Carolina Office of Resilience, Disaster Recovery Division. The State Disaster Recovery Mitigation Program Coordinator II (Infrastructure) assists the internal Mitigation Infrastructure Team to successfully administer a dynamic federally funded HUD 12-year program and an ARPA 6-year program. The 
Project Coordinator II engages with state and local government agencies to ensures projects are compliant with established policies and aligns with the US HUD and/or US Department of Treasury regulations and requirements, and SCOR Policies and Procedures. 
Under the limited supervision, incumbent performs work with state/federal officials private/vendors and governments organizations. In this position you will:
  • Assist Project Managers to evaluate project eligibility for HUD and ARPA funded programs; Monitor awarded projects for compliance with program requirements and agency policies.
  • Assist Project Managers with project scope, budget, schedule, and invoicing reconciliation.
  • Develop and maintain project database and milestones; track key performance indicators, record project data in system of record.
  • Prepare program/project reports; Review and develop public outreach and education materials.
  • Create and brief program presentations to the public and legislators; Possess the ability to articulate and summarize complex projects in public forums.
  • Assist Program Manager with environmental review and compliance.
  • Perform all other duties as required/assigned. 
A bachelor's degree in regional or urban planning, public administration, project management, or a related field, or 1-3 years relevant experience in county, state, and federal grant management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Knowledge of SCOR's mission, programs, and objectives. Knowledge of HUD CDBG-MIT and APRA SLFRF grant requirements, stormwater and nature-based resiliency measures, and project management preferred. 
  • Ability to Strong communication skills. 
  • Ability to make presentations and prepare reports. 
  • Ability to organize and maintain project file systems required. 
  • Ability to solve problems using analytical skills.
  •  Ability to conduct job duties with a high level of professionalism and abiding by the standards of confidentiality and ethics.
