JOB With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina. This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Coastal Empire Community Mental Health Center, 1050 Ribaut Rd., Beaufort, SC 29902.Responsibilities for the Workforce Spec II include but are not limited to: Recruits and prepares individuals to successfully pursue transitional, supportive, or competitive employment and/or volunteer opportunities in the community by addressing the skill development needs of patients and case managed referrals. Provides advocacy services on behalf of employed mentally ill patients; consults and works collaboratively with staff, agencies, and employers to achieve positive employment outcomes on behalf of IPS participants. Provides outreach services as necessary to patients when they appear to disengage from the service. Uses a variety of methods to provide outreach. Delivery of PRS work related services as approved and appropriate. Maintains a minimum of Employer Contacts weekly as per IPS- Model Fidelity Standards. Regular outreach to new and former employers to build IPS employer partners and employment opportunities. Engages in community events such as job fairs and other activities to support IPS patient’s employment goals and employment opportunities. Keeps accurate records of all employment specialist activities and documentation related to IPS-model, Including Employer Contacts, Patient Contacts, and Assessments. Performs other related duties as deemed necessary by supervisor. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES State: Bachelor’s degree and one year experience in counseling and/or behavior modification programs.DMH: Bachelor’s degree and one year experience in counseling and/or behavior modification programs.Note: If any Agency Requirements are listed above, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position.
