HVAC Maintenance 3rd Shift - Assists in performing HVAC corrective and preventative maintenance in all buildings including but not limited to AHU,s Pumps, Fire Dampers, etc. Complies with all rules & regulations including OSHA, DHEC, & EPA. Perform entry level skills in trade duties and assist other trade workers in performing maintenance or construction duties. Communication & Customer Service is top priority. Performs other duties as required. Subject to call back as needed.
60% - Essential - HVAC Maintenance: Assists in the maintenance and repair of- C/W & H/W systems, AHUs, FCUs, Fire Dampers, Pumps, VAVs, DX, type equipment, exhaust systems & all other HVAC-related equipment. Performs scheduled & unscheduled preventative maintenance within cost and time allotted per PM Guidelines. Changes filters, oils, greases & replaces components per PM analysis. Re-insulate per SOP. Unclogs or replaces condensate drains after determining failure. Assist in diagnosing, calibrating & replacing of failed pneumatic & electronic control components as required. Assist in emergency and general repairs & adjustments to equipment used in building and maintenance work. Urgent and routine work orders should be completed in a timely manner.
15% - Essential - Coil Cleaning & Preventative Maintenance: Assist in preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. ie: Uses toxic chemicals wearing proper PPE such as full face shields, rubber boots, body suits, gloves, etc. Assist in cleaning of air handlers, fan coil units internally & externally, flushing coils, reassembling, conducting test operations and restoring systems back to proper function. Notify planner/scheduler and or supervisor of any deviations of time standards. Performs other clean-ups as directed.
15% - Essential - Electrical Maintenance: Assists in use of VOM. Traces HVAC switching and power circuits in rooms and/or buildings. Assists in Isolating system electronically before maintenance. Performs Lockout/Tag Out per OSHA Specifications.
10% - Essential - Safety: Promote and encourage a safe workplace and safe work practices while maintaining a level of responsibility for compliance with all published safety absolutes and health directives. Promote a positive and productive safety environment.
Education - High School or Equivalent and HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical Trades experience
Formal training or trades experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
